We’re constantly working to provide you with the best service at the best value, with the greatest flexibility. Unfortunately, HBO and Cinemax have chosen to remove their channels from Sling TV.

HBO and Cinemax have made unreasonable demands, and we refuse to impose those demands on you, our customer, and force you to pay for programming you don’t receive, especially if it’s available on other platforms like HBO Now.

Please keep reading for more information:

Will HBO and Cinemax be coming back?

Regrettably, we don’t have any information at this time as to whether HBO and/or Cinemax will be returning. We’re continuing to work with HBO and Cinemax to bring back these channels and we appreciate you sticking with us while we do so.

You'll still be able to watch recordings from programming on these channels.

If HBO and Cinemax do return, you’ll receive an email from us letting you know.

Will I get a refund?

Eligible customers will receive a prorated credit based on the number of days remaining in their current billing cycle. To be eligible, you must subscribe to HBO and/or Cinemax and receive a monthly charge from Sling TV to your credit or debit card.

Important Note: This credit will be applied to your next bill.

If HBO and Cinemax do come back, you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle.

Do I need to make changes to my subscription?

If HBO/Cinemax return, you’ll receive an email from us letting you know. You’ll have 7 days to make changes to your subscription before you receive a prorated charge for the remaining days in your billing cycle.

  • If you no longer want to receive HBO or Cinemax as part of your Sling TV subscription, you must remove the channel from your subscription through My Account. Click here for step-by-step instructions

  • If we’re unable to reach an agreement with HBO and Cinemax, Sling TV will remove the channel(s) from your subscription
