6-402 errors can appear for a number of reasons, but are most often received when you're trying to view content that has been blacked out, is expired, or is no longer available.

I'm getting this error watching on a smartphone or tablet
If you're seeing error 6-402 while viewing on an Android phone or tablet, iPhone, iPad, or iPod, first make sure that location services are enabled:

If you still receive this error after enabling location services, your program may be blacked out specifically on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets. Try viewing on your TV, or with your Google Chrome browser on PC or MAC by visiting watch.sling.com.
I'm getting this error watching sports
If you're receiving a blackout message when trying to view an NFL, NBA, NHL, or MLB game, double-check to make sure you game isn't on another channel. Sometimes games are blacked out on a local channel or regional sports network, but not the national broadcast. Be sure to check all available channels for your game. National broadcasts for each league are typically available on the following channels:
