Select channels may occasionally black out certain games, events, TV shows, and movies. Blackout rules are determined by the leagues, sports associations, content owners, and networks that purchase the rights to these broadcasts. Our agreements sometimes require us to blackout content for various reasons. These reasons include sports blackouts based on eligible viewing areas, content blackouts based on streaming rights, and device specific blackouts, such as content on mobile phones.
Additionally, sometimes you can't stream an event because someone else has exclusive rights to it. In these instances, you'll see alternative content and/or on-screen messaging.
