You can make changes to your subscription through your My Account page. Start by logging in to your account and selecting Change Subscription on the dashboard.

Adding And Removing Extras

The top of the Change Subscription page will detail your current subscription. Select the drop-down (Your Current Service) Extras to see what Extras are available, like Cloud DVR Plus, Sports Extra, Kids Extra and more.

  • Choose +ADD to add an Extra to your subscription. The icon will change to a checkmark

  • To remove an Extra, select the checkmark. It will change to say +ADD

  • Once you’re satisfied, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Review

From there, follow the on-screen instructions to review and confirm your subscription changes.

If you’re adding Extras to your subscription, the change will take place immediately. When removing Extras, the change will take place at the end of your current billing cycle.

Changing Your Base Service

You can easily change your base service from SLING Orange to SLING Blue or vice versa from the My Account page:

  • Log in to your account and select Change Subscription

  • Any Extras currently on your account will not automatically switch, so if you want to keep your Extras, select the drop-down (Your Subscription) Extras to see which Extras you’re currently subscribed to

    • Important Note: The availability of some channels with an Extra may vary depending on your base service

  • Next, switch your base service. Press +SELECT next to the base service you want to switch to; the base service you’re currently subscribed to will automatically de-select

  • Add back your Extras by selecting the drop-down (Your Subscription) Extras and pressing +ADD next to the Extra or Extras you want to add. +ADD will change to a check-mark when selected

  • Once you’re satisfied, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Review

From there, follow the on-screen instructions to review and confirm your subscription changes.

Adding A Standalone Service

Standalone services are premium channels that can be added on their own, or added on to your existing subscription. Adding a standalone service to an existing subscription is similar to adding an Extra:

  • Log in to your account and select Change Subscription

  • Find Standalone Subscriptions under the section that details your current subscription

  • Select Show More to see all available standalone services

  • Choose +SELECT next to the standalone you want to add. The icon will change to a check-mark

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Review

From there, follow the on-screen instructions to review and confirm your subscription changes.

To remove a standalone from your subscription, follow the steps above, but press the check-mark to de-select the standalone. It will change to say +SELECT.

Adding Extras In The App

On most devices, you can add programming like Extras, Standalone Subscriptions and even Cloud DVR Plus right through the SLING app. 

  • Launch the SLING app

  • On your My TV page, scroll down until you find the Add Premium Channels & More ribbon

  • Scroll left or right to find the service you’d like to add and select it

  • Select Purchase Now and follow the on-screen instructions to finalize 

  • Your new programming should be available within a few seconds; on some devices, you may see a pop-up message stating that you’ll need to restart the app

If you don’t see this option on your device, no worries! You can still make changes to your subscription at 

Log in to My Account to remove any extras added through the SLING app. Follow the instructions above for Adding And Removing Extras. 

Adding Extras With A Gift Card

To add programming to your subscription with a gift card, log in to your account and follow the steps under Adding And Removing Extras above to select the programming you’d like to add.

  • Once you’ve selected your programming, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Redeem a gift card

  • Add the gift card number in the field provided, then select Apply

  • When the gift card has been applied, select Continue

  • Finally, review your changes and submit to apply the changes to your subscription

Adding And Removing Extras On Your Amazon Device

If you created your SLING TV account through your Amazon device, you can make changes to your subscription in the SLING app.

  • Launch the SLING app, select Settings then Account

  • Select Add/Remove Service

  • If you want to change your base service, you can do so on the first page. To bypass this page, select Continue

    • Note: Changing your base service will automatically remove any Extras you currently subscribe to

  • Next, select any Extras you want to add

  • Once you’re satisfied, confirm your selections, then review the changes and hit Finish & Submit

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to finalize your subscription changes

How Am I Billed When Adding Or Removing Extras?

Charges for any Extras added to your subscription are collected immediately at a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing cycle. On your renewal date, you’ll be charged the full price for your new service.

When removing an Extra from your subscription, the Extra will be removed from your subscription on your renewal date, and you won’t be charged for the service.

I’m Not Seeing A Channel I Added

The availability of certain channels in an Extra can vary depending on which base service you subscribe to. To make sure you should be receiving a channel:

  • Confirm your service(s) in the SLING app by selecting Settings, then Account. You’ll see your current subscription(s) listed on the page

  • Visit our Service Optimizer and search for your channel to make sure it’s available with the base service + Extra combination you’re currently subscribed to

  • If the channel isn’t available with your current base + Extra subscription (and you still want to see it), follow the steps for Changing Your Base Service above

If you have the correct subscription and you’re still not seeing your channel, try the following:

  • Give it a few minutes: Most subscription additions take place within a few seconds, but it can take up to 10 minutes for channels to be added

  • Relaunch the SLING app: The app may just need to refresh 

  • If you’re still not seeing your channel, try troubleshooting the issue

I’m Getting Errors When Changing My Subscription

If you’re seeing errors on the Edit Subscription page such as long load times, frequent time-outs or buttons not being clickable, try switching to private browsing or incognito mode, or clear your browser cache:

  • Chrome: 

    • Click More (3 vertical dots) in the top right of the browser window

    • Click More tools Clear browsing data

    • Choose a time range, or select All time to delete everything

    • Next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, check the boxes

    • Click Clear data

  • Edge:

    • Select Settings and more Settings Privacy and services

    • Under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear

    • Choose a time range from the drop-down menu

    • Choose what types of data to clear

    • Select Clear Now

  • Safari:

    • For Mac, in the Safari app, choose History Clear History, then click the pop-up

    • Choose how far back you want your browsing history cleared

    • For iOS, open the Settings app, then scroll down and select Safari

    • Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data

    • Tap again to confirm

  • Firefox:

    • Click the menu button and select Options

    • Select the Privacy & Security panel

    • In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data

    • Choose what to clear, then click the Clear button

Additionally, if you’re using ad-blocker software or a VPN, try disabling it to make your subscription changes.
