Recording a Show
Recording shows, movies and special events to watch on your schedule is easy with Cloud DVR.
To get started, find an upcoming or currently airing show, select the title, then choose the Record option from the program info screen.
When you're ready to start watching your recording, head to the My TV screen in your SLING app, and look under Recordings to find everything you've recorded on Cloud DVR.
Choose your show, then select Watch to start viewing. If you've recorded a series, you can also select which season and episode number you'd like to watch.

Can I record a series?
If you have a series you just can't live without, you can record every episode on Sling, or just new episodes.
To try it out, find a series you'd like to record in your guide, then choose Record. You'll have the option to record all episodes, only new episodes or just the selected episode.
When you're ready to watch, head to the Recordings ribbon on your My TV screen.
Can I record all channels?
Cloud DVR functionality is available for all live content, except the following channels:
- Digital Networks (Local Now, ESPN3, ACC Network Extra and SEC Network+)
Additionally, please note that Cloud DVR is available on all devices except the Xfinity X1 platform.
How many shows can I record at once?
Experience conflict-free recording and break free from tuners by recording as much as you'd like at one time.
Can I record local channels?
Local channels are available in select markets when you subscribe to Sling Blue or Sling Orange + Sling Blue.

If local channels are available on Sling in your area, you'll be able to record them with Cloud DVR.
Local channels received over the air via an over-the-air (OTA) antenna and streamed through Sling with an AirTV Player can be recorded with an external storage device. Learn more here.
Can I extend a recording?
Cloud DVR recordings cannot be extended at this time.
However, if you're recording a sporting event, Cloud DVR will automatically record an additional 30 minutes beyond the scheduled game time to allow for overtime, extra innings, etc. If you believe your game could run longer than that extra 30 minutes, we recommend also recording the next program in the guide to ensure you don't miss a second of the action.
Additionally, non-sporting events like shows or movies will record an additional 3 minutes beyond the window for the program. Similarly, for special events such as awards shows, we recommend recording the next program in the guide as well, just in case the event runs long.
Can I fast-forward through an in-progress recording?
If you're trying to fast-forward through a show, game or movie that you are currently recording and don't see any available player controls (pause, rewind, fast-forward), exit playback and head to the My TV screen. Scroll down to the Recordings ribbon, and play your programming from there, where you'll have access to player controls.

How do I manage my recordings?
You can easily manage recordings from the Recordings ribbon on your My TV screen in the Sling app.
Unless you've selected the option to protect a recording, Cloud DVR will automatically delete the oldest-watched recording when additional space is needed.
If you'd prefer to choose which recordings to delete, select My DVR to get started. Depending on your device, My DVR will be listed before or after your available recordings.
To delete all - or only select - recordings, select Manage on the next page.
Select recordings one-by-one to delete, or choose Select All to delete all recordings. Selected recordings will display a check-mark.
Select Delete to remove recordings. You'll receive a confirmation message. If you're ready to delete the selected recordings, choose Delete. Need another look? Select Cancel.
How do I check remaining Cloud DVR space?
You can check how much space is remaining on your Cloud DVR at any time by navigating to the My DVR tab on your My TV screen.
The next screen will show you how much available space you have left on your Cloud DVR.
