Download speed determines how quickly you can receive data from the Internet such as streaming videos, viewing website content,  receiving email, or downloading audio files. For example, Sling TV utilizes your download speed to display video content. If your download speed is slower, the time it takes you to receive video content may be slower, or a lesser picture quality will be displayed. Upload speed is the time it takes to send files, data, or information to the internet.  Most commonly we use upload speed when file sharing.
